great outdoors at its best. Flat Creek Trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way. This is one of many hiking trails in the surrounding area. All the water falling down from the sky makes Flat Creek Trail a wet place; November is when you get the most rain here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. You should count on this walk taking about 4.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Flat Creek Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your hike. Mountain Home Mobile Village is a good local campground, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Rogue River - North Fork. This site, the Southern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Take a little journey to Union Creek if you're here at Flat Creek Trail, and there's whitewater on Rogue River - North Fork for all you adrenaline people.
