Oregon hiking trails - Flag Mountain Trail, Central Cascade Range, Clackamas County

   
  Oregon has plenty of delightful wilderness trails; one of them being Flag Mountain Trail in Clackamas County. This part of Oregon has an outstanding deal of available outdoors endeavors. Going for a backcountry trek here in Oregon is a wonderful idea. This is just one of a large number of hiking trails in this neighborhood. With its 3.2 miles of walking distance it's a shorter type hike. This backcountry hiking trail is on the short side having an average number of uphill miles which makes this hiking trail delightful for the average walker looking for
    an amusing adventure. There are plenty of wilderness trails in Oregon; each one of them has its own character. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, Flag Mountain Trail in Clackamas County, Oregon is just the spot. Even though this is not a very long hiking trail
it's always splendid to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Flag Mountain Trail is not very next to Hood River at all, but there's good natural loveliness right here for you along it. All the water falling down from the sky makes Flag Mountain Trail a wet location; the month with most of the rain is December, and the driest month of the year is July. For the duration of the summer highs here at Flag Mountain Trail get into the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally  
in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Flag Mountain Trail. The total elevation difference for this backcountry trail is 924 feet, and that is lower than average. There's not much difference in elevation along Flag Mountain Trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. The time needed for this trek is roughly 2.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Backcountry hiking here in the Central Cascade Range is a very glorious way to see these mountains. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Flag Mountain Trail has two trailheads, so backcountry backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back.

Briefly about the general area:
There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. Don't forget to take a great little journey to Fern Creek, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sandy River. Camping is available at Bighorn Campground, and float down the rapids of Zigzag River in a kayak.
Camping at Pioneer Tollgate Campground is always a great experience, and unsurprisingly Camp Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth a visit.
