Throughout the summer here at Flag Mountain Trail, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Flag Mountain Trail dip into the 30's. This backpacking and hiking trail is not that long but it's always splendid to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. This backpacking  
and hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 924 feet, and that is lower than average. You should count on this walk taking about 2.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. This wilderness hiking trail is on the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this trail splendid for the average backcountry trekker looking for an enjoyable adventure. Flag Mountain Trail is 3.2 miles long it's a shorter type backcountry hike. Flag Mountain Trail gets much water; most of the rain falls during December while July is frequently the driest month. The wilderness hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a fine way to explore these mountains.

There's no way someone can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. If you're here at Flag Mountain Trail, you could explore Fern Creek. There's so much to do here at Flag Mountain Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Pioneer Tollgate Campground is a delightful place for that.
Why not stop by close by Camp Creek if you're here at Flag Mountain Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Zigzag River. Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Sandy River, and Flag Mountain Trail is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Bighorn Campground is a brilliant local campground.
