This is a one trailhead great outdoors hiking trail, so you'll be hiking it in and back out. The hiking and backpacking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking and backpacking trail. Fish Lake Trail is not that long but it's always good to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out.
