Some parts of this wilderness trail are much higher up than other parts of the wilderness trail, and that means that some parts of the wilderness trail could be very different from other parts of it. This backcountry hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 2,081 feet which is about average. This backcountry walk should take you about 4 days, so better have big a backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Fawn Lake Way has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can trek it just one way. This region does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Being 28 miles long; it's longer than many wilderness trails.
