Hiking here in Oregon is a fine way to spend some time. The high level of rainfall makes Fawn Camp Trail a relatively wet spot; through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and July on the other hand is the driest. There are many wonderful hiking and backpacking trails in Oregon; among these are Fawn Camp Trail in Douglas County. Summertime highs at Fawn Camp Trail regularly tend to
    be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Fawn Camp Trail night low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. Fawn Camp Trail is a mid-length hiking and backpacking trail having an average number
of uphill miles which makes this a very tough backcountry trail for advanced hikers looking for a tremendous challenge. The striking hiking and backpacking trails of the Southern Cascade Range are a really brilliant way to spend quality time in the wilderness. Fawn Camp Trail is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. This walk shouldn't take more than 6 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This region does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before  
you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Fawn Camp Trail is a two ended backpacking trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. There are so many backcountry trails in this area. With its 6.6 miles of walking distance it's an average length backpacking and hiking trail. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. The total elevation difference for Fawn Camp Trail is 859 feet which is a lower than average number. You spend the whole backcountry trek in roughly the same elevation zone, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry trek. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the great outdoors a bit, and Fawn Camp Trail in Douglas County, Oregon is just what you need. Fawn Camp Trail is a hiking trail relatively far from Medford, but backpacking it is great fun any time.

Briefly about the general area:
It's a tremendous idea to visit Maverick Creek, it's close to Fawn Camp Trail, and Huckleberry Lake Campground is a splendid local campground. Just can't get enough of the Southern Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Jackson Creek, and Coalmine Lick is a lovely site to visit while you're at Fawn Camp Trail.
Neal Springs Campground is a delightful campground nearby, and Elkhorn Spring is a magnificent local attraction. A wonderful place like Bunchgrass Meadows here at Fawn Camp Trail is too good to miss, and why not stop at close by Fawn Creek while you're here at Fawn Camp Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Fawn Camp Trail. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Jackson Creek.
