Oregon hiking trails - Fanton Plaza Trail, Central Cascade Range, Clackamas County       Oregon is an outstanding spot for outdoors people. Put on your hiking shoes, and hit the wilderness hiking trail, Fanton Plaza Trail in Clackamas County, Oregon is a wonderful spot for getting out. This is a long backcountry trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. All through the summer months at Fanton Plaza Trail temperatures are mostly in the 70's while overnight lows are     ordinarily in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Fanton Plaza Trail. Backcountry trekking here in the Central Cascade Range is an outstanding way to explore these hills. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 8.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. With its 9.6 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer trek. Fanton Plaza Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,787 feet which is about average. Pretty far from Hood River you discover Fanton Plaza Trail, but if you're looking for a wonderful spot to go hiking, this is a wonderful choice. Fanton Plaza Trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need   to dress differently at different elevations. Fanton Plaza Trail is a very long wilderness trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backcountry trail glorious for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Fanton Plaza Trail is a two ended great outdoors hiking trail with two trailheads, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. The high level of rain makes Fanton Plaza Trail a rather wet place; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Briefly about the general area: Camping is available at Lookout Springs Campground, and there's some flowing water close by, South Fork Roaring River is a stream you can have a look at while you're here. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is good on Roaring River; Grouse Creek is close to Fanton Plaza Trail and is always a joy to check out. Get dripping wet paddling on Sandy River, and everyone loves Squaw Meadow. If you came for an overnight stay Pelton Park is a magnificent place to camp.
