There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry walk it just one way. Different parts of Fake Creek Trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the hiking and backpacking trail could be very different from other parts of it. This wilderness trail has a total elevation difference of 2,852 feet which is higher than average. This is a long trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. With its 10.8 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer backcountry walk. Of course, this is an overnight trek, 1.5 days normally, so it's a wonderful thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job.
