Oregon hiking trails - Evans Trail, Blue Mountains, Union County

   
  Hey, time for a trek don’t you think? Evans Trail in Union County, Oregon is just the spot. Oregon is a tremendous place for hikers. A lengthy trip separates La Grande from Evans Trail, but there's magnificent natural attractiveness waiting for you here along it. The total elevation difference for Evans Trail is 1,956 feet, and that is about average. This backcountry hiking trail is many miles long having an average number of uphill miles which makes this great outdoors trail great for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Please follow all local rules
    about fires and camping. Evans Trail is 9.4 miles long; it's a long backcountry trail. The backcountry hiking trails of the Blue Mountains are a tremendous way to explore these mountaintops. Every Oregon backcountry hiking trail has something unique to offer. Evans Trail gets very
little rain; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This is a hiking trail that is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. For the duration of the summer months here at Evans Trail, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 40's with temperatures at Evans Trail dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. The time needed for this trek is roughly  
8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way. This is one of a very small number of great outdoors trails in this area. There are so many pleasant backcountry hiking trails for backcountry backpacking in Oregon, and among these are Evans Trail in Union County. If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go backcountry backpacking, it never gets boring. Sometimes this hiking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. This backcountry trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations.

Briefly about the general area:
Dixie Flat is a nice location to check out, and you could always discover Fiddlers Hell. Grandview Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and do pop by Tie Creek if you're here at Evans Trail.
Be careful coming to Evans Trail, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Grande Ronde River is a magnificent whitewater spot near Evans Trail, and a short trip to S S Spring is always worthwhile. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Blue Mountains, too delightful to be true. Places like Rocky Flat are glorious to take a look at, and Tie Spring is always fun to check out.
A splendid place for whitewater paddling near Evans Trail is Grande Ronde River, and as expected Middle Fork Mount Emily Creek is a scenic stream that is worth taking a look at. All year is a good time in the Blue Mountains if you love the outdoors. Stay the night at La Grande Rendezvous RV Resort; you're sure to stumble upon some great folks from La Grande here.
