Oregon hiking trails - Evans Trail, Blue Mountains, Union County

   
  It's a lengthy drive from La Grande to Evans Trail, but it is a really wonderful backcountry trail. While visiting this neighborhood in Oregon it's an excellent idea to go backcountry hiking too. Hey, time for a backcountry hike don’t you think? Evans Trail in Union County, Oregon is such an excellent place. Now this hiking trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go trekking, it is an excellent idea. The warmest time of the year at Evans Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer
    night lows drop down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and night lows through the winter for Evans Trail tend to be in the 20's. Evans Trail is a two ended hiking and backpacking trail with two trailheads, so backcountry trekking it one way is an option
if you can arrange for a ride back. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Evans Trail is a backpacking and hiking trail of perfect length with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this hiking trail perfect for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. This hiking trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking  
trail. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. The total elevation difference for this hiking and backpacking trail is 1,956 feet which is about average. Evans Trail gets very little rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is July. This backcountry walk shouldn't take more than 8 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This is one of a very small number of hiking trails in this area. Being 9.4 miles long; it's a long hiking trail. Oregon has plenty of pleasant wilderness trails; one of those is Evans Trail in Union County. Each one of the many wilderness trails of Oregon has its own unique attractiveness. Backpacking and hiking trails like this one here in the Blue Mountains are the best way to enjoy these mountaintops.

This river is so great. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Blue Mountains. Some of the water close by flows, like Middle Fork Mount Emily Creek, and S S Spring is an inspiring site to pop by while you're here.
Yep, outdoors fun things truly is abundant here in the Blue Mountains. Here at Evans Trail you'll probably meet some people from La Grande, and if you came to camp Grandview Campground is a perfect place to do that. A spree to Evans Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Tie Spring, and a visit to Rocky Flat invigorates the soul. Fiddlers Hell is close to Evans Trail and is a delightful site, and getting to Tie Creek from Evans Trail is simple.
This spot is so good, just explore all the entertaining stuff to do near Evans Trail. Grande Ronde River is a good whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Evans Trail, and Evans Trail is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, La Grande Rendezvous RV Resort is a glorious local campground. This river has it all. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Grande Ronde River, and Dixie Flat is right here at Evans Trail.
