Relatively far from Bend you locate Edison Ice Cave and Lava Trail, but trekking along this great outdoors trail is very fun. Edison Ice Cave and Lava Trail has two trailheads, so hiking it one way is an  
option if you can arrange for a ride back. There's not much difference in elevation along the hiking and backpacking trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking and backpacking trail. There are so many great outdoors hiking trails in this vicinity. The total elevation difference for this backpacking and hiking trail is 1,442 feet which is an average number. The length of Edison Ice Cave and Lava Trail is on the longer side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a splendid great outdoors hiking trail for experienced backcountry hikers in perfect shape. There are many wonderful backpacking trails in Oregon, and Edison Ice Cave and Lava Trail in Deschutes County is one of them. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping.

Round Mountain Pass is a tremendous spot to explore, and Crater Creek is next to Edison Ice Cave and Lava Trail and is always a bliss to visit. Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a good time.
All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back over and over. Places like Wire Meadow are good to visit, and Elk Lake Springs is always fun to check out. Deschutes River is a perfect whitewater spot near Edison Ice Cave and Lava Trail, and Dutchman Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit. This place, Edison Ice Cave and Lava Trail, it completely has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. If you came to camp East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a magnificent site to do that, and do put some time aside to spend at Soda Spring while you're here at Edison Ice Cave and Lava Trail.
Dutchman Flat is a great location to stretch your legs a bit. There's so much to do here at Edison Ice Cave and Lava Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Upper Campground is a tremendous site for that.
