The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while East Mountain Trail nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. This is a one trailhead wilderness hiking trail, so you'll be backcountry trekking it in and back out. With its 2.8 miles of walking distance it's a shorter type backcountry trek. This backpacking and hiking trail is on the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this great outdoors hiking trail perfect for the average walker looking for an exciting adventure. This hike shouldn't take more than 2.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Briefly about the general area: Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range.
