East Mountain Trail     is a relatively wet spot usually with a large amount of rain; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is ordinarily the driest month. East Mountain Trail is 2.8 miles long it's shorter than many great outdoors trails. This backcountry trail is on the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backcountry hiking trail glorious for the average trekker looking for an enjoyable adventure. Each wilderness trail in Oregon has its own unique attractiveness. East Mountain Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your hike. The backcountry trails of the Central Cascade Range are a great way to explore these peaks. This is one of a very small number of backcountry hiking trails in this region. There is only   one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out hike. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Summertime at East Mountain Trail comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at East Mountain Trail temperatures plunge to the 30's. East Mountain Trail is not very next to Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton at all, but when you backcountry trek it you're always having a splendid time.
