Tremendous wilderness trails in Oregon are in abundance, and one of those is Eagle Tanner Trail in Hood River County. Eagle Tanner Trail is a wilderness hiking trail rather far from Hood River, but it sure is a a great wilderness hiking trail. Going for a backcountry trek here in Oregon is an outstanding idea. Eagle Tanner Trail is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Eagle Tanner
    Trail is a trail of delightful length with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an outstanding backcountry trail for experienced trekkers in delightful shape. This walk shouldn't take more than 9 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit
faster. Being 10.4 miles long; it's considered a longer walk. This backcountry hiking trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backcountry hiking trail. While visiting this region in Oregon it's a good idea to go trekking too. Backpacking and hiking trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these summits. This is one of many backcountry trails in the surrounding region. Eagle Tanner Trail has a total elevation  
difference of 2,700 feet, and that is higher than average. High temperatures at Eagle Tanner Trail all through the days of summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 40's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Eagle Tanner Trail tend to be in the 30's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Eagle Tanner Trail a wet site; the month with most of the rain is December; the driest month is July. Each wilderness trail in Oregon is different from the others. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Eagle Tanner Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backpacking it in and back out.

If you're here at Eagle Tanner Trail, do take a trip to Wauna Point; get yourself into a kayak and hit Hood River - Lake Branch. Looking for some flowing water? Try Opal Creek; lots of folks from Hood River come here.
And that's not all there is to do here in the Central Cascade Range. Camping at Eagle Tanner Trail is great fun, Bridge Of The Gods Motel and RV is a great local campground, and get covered with water paddling on Sandy River. Some of the water nearby flows, like East Fork Eagle Creek, and don't leave Eagle Tanner Trail without first paying a visit to Big Cedar Springs. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. It's always fine to have a look at Tanner Spring.
So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Eagle Tanner Trail, too good to be true. Eagle Tanner Trail is a magnificent site to camp, Cascade Locks/Portland KOA is a magnificent site, and Benson Plateau is a fine place here at Eagle Tanner Trail.
