Oregon hiking trails - Eagle Tanner Trail, Central Cascade Range, Hood River County       We all need to get out in the great outdoors once in a while, and Eagle Tanner Trail in Hood River County, Oregon is a really delightful site to spend some time. Eagle Tanner     Trail is a trail of delightful length with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an outstanding backcountry trail for experienced trekkers in delightful shape. This walk shouldn't take more than 9 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Being 10.4 miles long; it's considered a longer walk. This backcountry hiking trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backcountry hiking trail. While visiting this region in Oregon it's a good idea to go trekking too. Backpacking and hiking trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these summits. This is one of many backcountry trails in the surrounding region. Eagle Tanner Trail has a total elevation   difference of 2,700 feet, and that is higher than average. High temperatures at Eagle Tanner Trail all through the days of summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 40's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Eagle Tanner Trail tend to be in the 30's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Eagle Tanner Trail a wet site; the month with most of the rain is December; the driest month is July. Camping at Eagle Tanner Trail is great fun, Bridge Of The Gods Motel and RV is a great local campground, and get covered with water paddling on Sandy River. Some of the water nearby flows, like East Fork Eagle Creek, and don't leave Eagle Tanner Trail without first paying a visit to Big Cedar Springs. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range.
