Oregon hiking trails - Eagle Creek Cutoff, Central Cascade Range, Clackamas County

   
  A visit to Oregon is not complete without some backpacking. Going for a hike here in Oregon is so much fun. Rather far from Hood River you encounter Eagle Creek Cutoff, but it is an enjoyable place to backcountry walk. Now this backcountry trail is pretty long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Oregon has plenty of nice backcountry trails; one of them being Eagle Creek Cutoff in Clackamas County. Now, this is roughly a 2-day walk, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed.
    There are plenty of backcountry trails in Oregon; each one of them is different from the others. Through the months of summer at Eagle Creek Cutoff temperatures are generally in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights
come with lows in the 30's to Eagle Creek Cutoff. These backcountry hiking trails here in the Central Cascade Range are a really nice way to spend quality time in nature. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry hike it just one way. This backcountry hiking trail is a very long backcountry hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough great outdoors hiking trail for advanced backcountry hikers looking for a splendid challenge. Finally, hiking time  
is here again, and Eagle Creek Cutoff in Clackamas County, Oregon is such an outstanding place. Different parts of this backcountry hiking trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the backcountry hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. A good deal of rainfall falls at Eagle Creek Cutoff; most of the rain falls through December; the driest month of the year is July. Eagle Creek Cutoff is 14.6 miles long; it's considered a longer backcountry hike. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 2,830 feet which is higher than average. This is a region covered with lots of great outdoors hiking trails.

Briefly about the general area:
You can run the rapids of Sandy River in the vicinity of Eagle Creek Cutoff, and Brownell Spring is a fine local attraction. That right there is a heap already, but it keeps on going; Eagle Creek Cutoff has it all. La Dee Flat is a wonderful place.
If you came to camp Windell's Snowboard Camp is a good site to do that; some of the water close by flows, like South Fork Roaring River. There's whitewater on Roaring River for all you adrenaline people; hey, Shining Creek is a magnificent local stream. All year is a fine time in the Central Cascade Range if you love the outdoors. There's so much to do here at Eagle Creek Cutoff that you need to camp here for a while, Lookout Springs Campground is a brilliant place for that, and Squaw Meadow is a nice site to check out.
