Oregon hiking trails - Eagle Creek Cutoff, Central Cascade Range, Clackamas County

Eagle Creek Cutoff is a great outdoors trail quite far from Hood River, but great outdoors trails like these are magnificent. Of course, this is an overnight walk, 2 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Eagle Creek Cutoff sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is
    regularly December, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is July. Different parts of this wilderness trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the wilderness trail could be very different from other parts of it. This is a long
wilderness hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Oregon has so much to offer nature lovers. Through the summertime here at Eagle Creek Cutoff, high temperatures typically reach the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Eagle Creek Cutoff descend into the 30's. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This trail is a trail of great length having an average number  
of uphill miles which makes it a fine hiking trail for experienced trekkers in wonderful shape. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and if you happen to be in Clackamas County of Oregon, Eagle Creek Cutoff is a glorious local great outdoors trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Eagle Creek Cutoff is 14.6 miles long; it's considered a longer backcountry walk. This is one of many hiking trails in the surrounding area. The gorgeous trails of the Central Cascade Range are a perfect way to explore these peaks. If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go backcountry backpacking, it is a great way to spend some time. Eagle Creek Cutoff has a total elevation difference of 2,830 feet which is higher than average. This is a two-ended wilderness trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end.

Briefly about the general area:
You truly must fancy the Central Cascade Range. You can run the rapids of Sandy River in the vicinity of Eagle Creek Cutoff, and let's not forget Shining Creek which is a stream that you may encounter while here. Lookout Springs Campground is a tremendous local campground, and as expected South Fork Roaring River flows through this neighborhood.
And that's not all you can do here at Eagle Creek Cutoff. Eagle Creek Cutoff is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Windell's Snowboard Camp is a splendid place to camp nearby. Do set aside some time for Squaw Meadow since you're here at Eagle Creek Cutoff; get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Roaring River. A pleasant spree to La Dee Flat is a magnificent way to spend an afternoon, and don't leave Eagle Creek Cutoff without first paying a visit to Brownell Spring.
