With its 9.2 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many backpacking and hiking trails. Duffy Lake Trail is a wet site that gets much rainfall; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions
or closures before you go. This backpacking and hiking trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Backpacking in Oregon is such a glorious thing to do.

Man, is there a heap of exciting things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Big Spring is an inspiring site to go to during your stay, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Santiam River - North. There are some tremendous whitewater
spots on Marion Creek, and some close by water includes Swede Creek. Marion Flats is a picturesque place any time of year, and if you came for an overnight stay Tombstone Prairie Campground is a good place to camp. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff
the area in close proximity to Duffy Lake Trail has to offer. Country Star Recreational Vehicle Park is a great local campground. Duffy Prairie is a wonderful location to stretch your legs a bit, and why not take a little journey to Green Creek if you're here.
