Driveway Trail is a wilderness trail rather far from Hood River, but if you're looking for a tremendous site to go trekking, this is a tremendous choice. Even though this is not a very long backcountry hiking trail it's always good to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. hiking and backpacking trail for the average person looking for a magnificent adventure. All the water falling down from the sky makes Driveway Trail a wet site; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; July is the month with the least moisture. Here
in the magnificent state of Oregon backcountry trekking is always a cool thing to do. There are trails all over Oregon, and one of these is Driveway Trail in Clackamas County. This area does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you
plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. With its 5.6 miles of walking distance it's an average length backpacking trail. This backpacking trail has two trailheads, so backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. This backpacking trail has a total elevation
difference of 681 feet which is a lower than average number. Backpacking here in the Central Cascade Range is a fine way to explore these hills.
Briefly about the general area: A river like this is too good to miss. Get yourself into a kayak and hit White River, and
camping at Salmon River Campground is always a brilliant experience. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Central Cascade Range. A delightful location near Driveway Trail is Abbot Pass, and if you came to camp Lower Twin Campground is a magnificent place to do that.
