in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Deception Way are in the 30's. This backcountry trail is a normal length backcountry trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a perfect hiking trail for experienced trekkers in good shape. While visiting this vicinity
in Oregon it's a brilliant idea to go backcountry hiking too. The total elevation difference for Deception Way is 1,482 feet which is about average. The backcountry hiking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions
along the whole backcountry hiking trail. Deception Way has only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry trekking it in and back out. There are so many hiking trails in this neighborhood. Each one of the many wilderness trails of Oregon has its own character.

the general area: Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Deception Way is great! Weeping Rock Campground is a good campground nearby, and if you wish for a little side journey, try Dark Canyon. If you came for an overnight stay River View RV Park is a good place to camp,
and Illahee Flats is a delightful spot. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Looking for some flowing water? Try Deception Creek, and close by you stumble on Charcoal Point. There's whitewater on Steamboat Creek for all you adrenaline people, and some of the
water nearby flows, like Dry Gulch Creek. And that's not all there is to do here in the Central Cascade Range. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Copland Creek; everybody loves Little Oak Flat.
