Deception Way is a mid-length trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough backpacking trail for advanced trekkers looking for a magnificent challenge. This great outdoors trail sometimes gets very dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. | |

These trails here in the Central Cascade Range are a really wonderful way to spend quality time in the fresh air. High temperatures at Deception Way throughout the days of summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. High temperatures through
the winter are normally in the 40's, and night lows at Deception Way through the winter regularly dip into the 30's. The total elevation difference for Deception Way is 1,482 feet which is about average. This backcountry walk shouldn't take more than 5 hours, but of course some
folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. All the water falling down from the sky makes Deception Way a wet spot; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here; July on the other hand is the driest. Deception Way has only one trailhead, so in and out is
the way to backcountry walk it normally.

All the outdoors amusing stuff near Deception Way will keep you coming back repeatedly. If you come at the right time of year, Copland Creek offers some good whitewater, and Little Oak Flat is a
great spot to stretch your legs a bit. Weeping Rock Campground is a great campground nearby, and why not pop by nearby Dry Gulch Creek if you're here at Deception Way.
Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Central Cascade Range rules!. Now, you may imagine that's
plenty but there's even more fun things to do here in the Central Cascade Range. There are some good whitewater spots on Steamboat Creek; naturally Deception Creek is a lovely stream that is worth checking out. While you're here at Deception Way you must go to Charcoal Point; a
pleasant journey to Illahee Flats is a great way to spend an afternoon.
If you came for an overnight stay River View RV Park is a glorious location to camp, and nearby you locate Dark Canyon which is a fine location to check out.
