Oregon hiking trails - Davis Trail, Blue Mountains, Grant County

   
  Davis Trail is in a relatively deserted region, and backcountry trekking is such an amusing thing to do, and this is a perfect spot to do that. Oregon has lots of outdoors pastimes. Gotta get out of the city man, and Davis Trail in Grant County, Oregon is just what you need. Davis Trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. You spend the whole backcountry walk in roughly the same elevation zone which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. For the duration of the summer months,
    highs frequently are in the 80's at Davis Trail while night lows are frequently in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Davis Trail. This trail is a very short trail with an average amount of climbing
distance which makes it a brilliant hiking and backpacking trail for the average person looking for a brilliant adventure. Davis Trail has a total elevation difference of 474 feet which is a lower than average number. The striking trails of the Blue Mountains are a tremendous way to explore these mountaintops. This area does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Around Davis Trail you don’t get a lot of rain; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July.  
Every backcountry trail in Oregon has its own unique loveliness. If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go backpacking, it is a perfect way to spend some time. There are many nice backcountry trails in Oregon, and Davis Trail in Grant County is one of them. Davis Trail is a two ended hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry hike it just one way. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Being 2.2 miles long it's a shorter type backcountry walk. The time needed for this trek is roughly 2 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This is one of a very small number of hiking and backpacking trails in this region.

Camping is available at Ray Cole Campground; a trip to John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is worthwhile.
These mountains rock, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the Blue Mountains. A good place to camp here at Davis Trail is Clyde Holliday, and everyone loves Coxie Meadow.
