The total elevation difference for Crooked Trail is 516 feet which is a lower than average number. This is not a very long backcountry trail but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. This backcountry trail sometimes gets very dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. This hike shouldn't take more than 1.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. With its 1.8 miles of walking distance it's a shorter type walk. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end which means you have the option of backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. There's not much difference in elevation along Crooked Trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your walk.
