Oregon hiking trails - Crescent Mountain Trail, Central Cascade Range, Linn County

   
  There are numerous backpacking and hiking trails in Oregon, and each one is different from the others. Oregon is an outstanding spot for outdoors people. Crescent Mountain Trail is quite far from the closest urban center, and what a wonderful place for backcountry trekking it is. Backpacking here in the Central Cascade Range is an outstanding way to explore these highlands. You should count on this backcountry trek taking about 6.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. During the summertime months
    at Crescent Mountain Trail highs are frequently in the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows through the winter for Crescent Mountain Trail tend to be in the 30's. At parts of the year this region sees
very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. This is an area covered with lots of backpacking trails. If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go hiking, it is an excellent idea. Different parts of Crescent Mountain Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Getting to Echo Creek from Crescent Mountain Trail is simple; sites like The Parks are tremendous to stop at. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Crescent Mountain Trail.
There's so much to do here at Crescent Mountain Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Tombstone Prairie Campground is a delightful site for that, and get covered with water paddling on Santiam River - North. Lost Prairie is a great place to stretch your legs a bit, and paddling on Marion Creek is so much fun. Some close by water includes Toad Creek, and Crescent Mountain Trail is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Country Star Recreational Vehicle Park is a splendid local campground.
