through December this neighborhood sees the most snow, and the driest month of the year is July. You should count on this backcountry hike taking about 4 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Oregon has plenty of perfect
wilderness hiking trails; among these are Crater Peak Trail in Klamath County. This is not a very long backcountry hiking trail but it's always brilliant to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. You spend the whole trek in roughly the same elevation zone,
so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking trail. A visit to Oregon is not complete without some trekking. There are not too many backcountry trails in this neighborhood. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site.
Briefly
about the general area: A river like this is too good to miss. A pleasant tour to Sun Meadows is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon, and nearby you hit upon great sites like Tututni Pass. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Southern Cascade Range
has to offer. If time allows, Crater Lake National Park is a national park worth taking a look at, and naturally Vidae Creek flows through this region. Camping at Mazama Campground is always a glorious experience, and let's not forget East Fork Annie Creek which is a stream that you may bump into while you're here. Camping is available at Sevenmile Marsh Campground.
