Here in Oregon backcountry backpacking is so much fun. For the duration of the days of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Crater Butte Trail. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are usually in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Crater Butte Trail. You'll have to
    go far from Bend to get to Crater Butte Trail, but it's one of those places where trekking is nice. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This is one of many backpacking trails in the surrounding area. This wilderness hiking trail has a total
elevation difference of 881 feet which is lower than average. Every single Oregon backpacking and hiking trail is striking in its own way. This is a backpacking and hiking trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. The length of this wilderness hiking trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough backpacking trail for advanced hikers looking for a perfect challenge. Crater Butte Trail is a reasonably wet place usually with lots of rainfall; December is the month that gets the most  
rain, and the driest month is July. Crater Butte Trail is a one trailhead wilderness hiking trail, so you're looking at an in and out hike. You spend the whole hike in roughly the same elevation zone which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Sometimes this backpacking and hiking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. The wilderness hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a very good way to see these summits. Crater Butte Trail is 8.4 miles long it's a mid length hike. Oregon has plenty of nice backpacking and hiking trails, and among these are Crater Butte Trail in Klamath County. This walk shouldn't take more than 7.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster.

All the outdoors fun things in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back again and again. Why not camp at Lake Lucile Campground since you're here at Crater Butte Trail; Sunset Cove is not far at all. Be careful coming to Crater Butte Trail, you might not ever want to go home again.
A glorious place to camp here at Crater Butte Trail is Shelter Cove Resort, and a quick visit to Wharf Creek is undeniably a great idea. While staying at Crater Butte Trail you could always discover Willamette Pass; if you're here, you could pop by Rhodod Creek. A short tour to Cold Spring is always worthwhile, and Crater Lake National Park is a good site close by.
