Trail is 8.4 miles long it's a mid length backcountry hike. The hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these mountains. The warmest time of the year at Crater Butte Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends
down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Crater Butte Trail.

Creek is near Crater Butte Trail and is always a pleasure to explore. Take a little tour to Wharf Creek since you're here at Crater Butte Trail. There's so much to do here at Crater Butte Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Shelter Cove Resort is a fine place for that.
But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. Willamette Pass is next to Crater Butte Trail and is a good place, and Sunset Cove is quite close. Crater Butte Trail is good enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Lucile Campground is a good local campground,
and don't leave Crater Butte Trail without first paying a visit to Cold Spring. Be careful coming to Crater Butte Trail, you might not ever want to go back home again.
