80's; the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, usually in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Crain Prairie Trail. Crain Prairie Trail is a very long backpacking and hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles
which makes this hiking and backpacking trail good for hard core backpackers looking for adventure.
Briefly about the general area: Take a side spree to Nettie Creek, and since you're here why not visit Willamette Pass. Now, you may imagine that's heaps but there's even
more fun stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on McKenzie River - South Fork, and hey, Klovdahl Creek is a delightful local stream. Whitewater paddling is fine on Hills Creek, and a journey
to Shadow Bay is always a tremendous idea. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more entertaining things to do in the Central Cascade Range. If you came for an overnight stay Shelter Cove Resort is a great place to camp, and Pothole Meadow is a nice site here at Crain Prairie
Trail. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure. Camping at Crain Prairie Trail is tremendous fun, Twin Springs Campground is a tremendous local campground, and Salt Creek Falls is always fun to check out. This place is excellent, just look at all the amusing
things to do in close proximity to Crain Prairie Trail. Lillian Falls is a great local attraction; don’t forget to stop by Black Meadows while you're here at Crain Prairie Trail. This is a really good river.
