Briefly about the general area: There's so much to do here at Cottonwood Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Kirkland Campground is a tremendous place for that, and get covered with water paddling on Snake River.
Just can't get enough of Cottonwood Creek Trail. Bear Creek is a great location to check out, and Bear Flat is a tremendous spot to stretch your legs a bit. Near Cottonwood Creek Trail you come across pleasant spots like Smooth Gulch, and a spree to Kernan Spring will fill your
spirit with brilliant feelings. Places like Billy Meadows are tremendous to go to; paddling on Grande Ronde River is so much fun. Deadhorse Creek is a great local stream, and don't leave Cottonwood Creek Trail without first paying a visit to Wildhorse Spring.
