  Perfect backcountry trails in Oregon are in abundance; one of these is Cool Creek Trail in Clackamas County. When you're here in Oregon backpacking along one of its backcountry trails is so much fun. Cool Creek Trail is a long tour away from Hood River, but it is an enjoyable spot to backcountry hike. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. Each one of the many backcountry trails of Oregon is well worth a backcountry hike. The total elevation difference for this great outdoors trail is 3,377 feet which is a higher
    than average number. The length of this backpacking trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this great outdoors hiking trail brilliant for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Cool Creek Trail sees pretty high levels of precipitation;
the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. This is one of many great outdoors hiking trails in the surrounding neighborhood. If you are in Oregon during hiking season you have to go hiking. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and Cool Creek Trail in Clackamas County, Oregon is such a wonderful spot. The time needed for this walk is roughly 7.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Backcountry hiking here in the Central Cascade  
Range is the best way to enjoy these mountains. This is a trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Some parts of this backcountry hiking trail are much higher up than other parts of the backcountry hiking trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backcountry hiking trail. Cool Creek Trail is 8.6 miles long it's a mid length backcountry walk. This great outdoors trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Summer at Cool Creek Trail comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are generally in the 40's, and night lows in the 30's for Cool Creek Trail.

Briefly about the general area:
This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. You must certainly dedicate some time to Wind Creek Basin while you're here at Cool Creek Trail, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Sandy River. Bruin Run Creek flows through this vicinity, and Kinzel Lake Campground is a tremendous campground nearby.
So much cool stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range, not sufficient time. If you come at the right time of year, Zigzag River offers some magnificent whitewater, and Cool Creek Trail is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Pioneer Tollgate Campground is a great spot to camp nearby. If you want a little side visit, try Devil Canyon, and Vanishing Falls is always fun to check out. If you're here at Cool Creek Trail, you could take a look at Cool Creek, and Little Niagara Falls is a pleasant local attraction.
There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. There are plenty of folks from Hood River here at Cool Creek Trail.
