Oregon hiking trails - Cook Creek Trail, Wallowa County

Cook Creek Trail in Wallowa County, Oregon is an excellent pick. Here in Oregon backpacking is a great way to spend some time. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Backcountry trails for backpacking, and backpacking can be found all over Oregon, and one of those is Cook Creek Trail in Wallowa County. Cook Creek Trail is 15.4 miles long; it's longer than many backcountry trails. This is a long wilderness
    trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. For the duration of the warm months, highs typically are in the 80's at Cook Creek Trail, and the night is rather colder of course, regularly in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's, and winter
nights come with lows in the 20's to Cook Creek Trail. This is one of a very small number of wilderness hiking trails in this vicinity. This backcountry walk should take you about 2.5 days, so it's a great thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Cook Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 4,256 feet, and that is higher than average. The length of Cook Creek Trail is on the longer side having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough wilderness hiking trail for advanced trekkers looking for a brilliant challenge.  
Cook Creek Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. While visiting this neighborhood in Oregon it's a glorious idea to go hiking too. Cook Creek Trail is generally a rather arid place; most of the rain falls all through May while July is generally the driest month. Cook Creek Trail is not very next to Lewiston at all, but it is an excellent refuge from the urban center. This backcountry trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations.

Briefly about the general area:
Take a side tour to Five Points Creek, and Wild Canyon is another glorious spot to take a look at close by. Don't leave Cook Creek Trail without first paying a visit to Howard Spring, and why not camp at Kirkland Campground if you're here at Cook Creek Trail.
Paddling on Snake River is so much fun. Imnaha River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by, and a brilliant spot to camp here at Cook Creek Trail is Black Pine Campground. It's always great to have a look at Hot Spring, and Baldwin Area is a tremendous location here at Cook Creek Trail.
That right there is lots already, but it continues; Cook Creek Trail has it all. Dry Creek is a pretty stream that is worth checking out, and don’t forget to go to Bear Flat if you're here at Cook Creek Trail.
