Cold Spring Trail gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest of the months is July. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 8 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This hiking trail is a mid length hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a magnificent hiking and backpacking trail for experienced trekkers in good shape. | |

Briefly about the general area: That right there is a load of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Blue Mountains has it all. A splendid spot in close proximity to Cold Spring Trail is Faulkner Gulch, and Farley Spring is always fun to check out. There's
so much to do here at Cold Spring Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Deerhorn Campground is a splendid spot for that, and you have to without doubt dedicate some time to Desolation Meadows while you're here at Cold Spring Trail. That right there is a heap already,
but it carries on; Cold Spring Trail has it all. It's a great idea to check out Line Creek, it's next to Cold Spring Trail, and Grande Ronde River is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby. Cold Spring Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Trough Creek Campground is a
great local campground; don’t forget to stop by Lost Horse Meadow since you're here at Cold Spring Trail. A great place for whitewater paddling right next door to Cold Spring Trail is John Day River - North Fork, and Sunset Spring is a stunning place to stop at while you're at
Cold Spring Trail. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Blue Mountains. Don't forget to take a wonderful little visit to Skinner Creek.
