  Each one of the many great outdoors trails of Oregon has its own unique beauty. Here in Oregon backcountry backpacking is the delightful thing to do. Time to get out, and breathe some fresh air, and Cold Spring Trail in Clackamas County, Oregon is a perfect site to go. This is not a very long backcountry trail but it's always tremendous to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. This is a region covered with lots of hiking and backpacking trails. This hike shouldn't take more than 3.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go
    wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This hiking and backpacking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,284 feet which is about average. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Oregon has plenty of delightful great outdoors trails, and one
of these is Cold Spring Trail in Clackamas County. Hiking trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are a very nice way to see these summits. Backcountry backpacking here in Oregon is a must. There's not much difference in elevation along Cold Spring Trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your walk. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry trekking it in and back out. With its 4.2 miles of walking distance it's an average length trail. Sometimes this backcountry trail gets really dry, so do check  
for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Cold Spring Trail sees pretty high levels of precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Cold Spring Trail is a normal length backcountry hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a splendid hiking and backpacking trail for the average person looking for a splendid adventure. Through the long summer days at Cold Spring Trail temperatures are generally in the 70's, and the night is a tad chillier of course, generally in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are generally in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Cold Spring Trail drop into the 30's. Cold Spring Trail is a long drive away from Hood River, but many people like to trek here to be in the vicinity of the great outdoors.

Briefly about the general area:
You'll need more than a day to discover everything Cold Spring Trail has to offer, you can camp at Lookout Springs Campground; get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Roaring River. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go home again. Cotton Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth going to, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Clackamas River.
Visit Wool Creek since you're here at Cold Spring Trail; you can stay the night at Skookum Lake Campground.
