Different parts of this wilderness hiking trail are at very different elevations,
    and that means that some parts of the wilderness hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. The high level of rain makes Chimney Peak Trail a pretty wet place; through the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least
amount of precipitation. Chimney Peak Trail is a very long backcountry trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a good trail for experienced backcountry walkers in pleasant shape. For the duration of the months of summer at Chimney Peak Trail temperatures are generally in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Chimney Peak Trail. Backcountry backpacking here in Oregon is a splendid  
way to spend some time. Backpacking here in the Central Cascade Range is a really tremendous way to spend quality time in the wilderness. Chimney Peak Trail is situated a pretty lengthy journey from Albany-Lebanon, but if you're looking for a good spot to go backcountry trekking, this is a good selection. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry hike, 3 days normally, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. This is just one of a large number of trails in this region. There are so many pleasant great outdoors trails for backpacking in Oregon, and one of those is Chimney Peak Trail in Linn County. With its 19 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer backcountry trek. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Chimney Peak Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies.

McNabb Falls is an inspiring site to stop by while here, and Little Meadows is right here at Chimney Peak Trail. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Central Cascade Range.
Canal Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot in close proximity to Chimney Peak Trail, and Country Star Recreational Vehicle Park is a great local campground. What a place this is for outdoors people. Red Heifer Pass is close to Chimney Peak Trail and is a nice place, and since you're here, you could have a look at Gregg Creek. If you came for an overnight stay Detroit Lake State Park is a fine site to camp, and a quick trip to West Fork McQuade Creek is without doubt a perfect idea.
So many cool things in the Central Cascade Range, just incredible. You can run the rapids of Santiam River - Middle close to Chimney Peak Trail, and since you're here you have to go to Bloody Point.
