Chico Trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the trail could be very different from other parts of it. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry hike, 2.5 days normally, so better have big a backpack to fit all the stuff you need. This is a long great outdoors hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Chico Trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way. At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. With its 15.4 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer backcountry trek.
