    Creek Trail is 2,784 feet which is a higher than average number. Every single Oregon wilderness trail is pretty in its own way. Some parts of Cast Creek Trail are much higher up than other parts of the great outdoors trail, and that means that some parts of the great outdoors trail
could be very different from other parts of it. Cast Creek Trail is a backpacking trail rather far from Hood River, but you always have a great time when you're backcountry backpacking along it. Cast Creek Trail is a wet location that gets much rain; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is frequently the driest month. At Cast Creek Trail all through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the wintertime this location gets highs in the 40's while the  
cold winter nights at Cast Creek Trail are in the 30's. This is a backcountry trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are a magnificent way to explore these peaks. Hey, time for a hike don’t you think? Cast Creek Trail in Clackamas County, Oregon is the fresh air at its best. This backcountry hiking trail is a normal length backcountry hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this great outdoors trail pleasant for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Cast Creek Trail is a two ended backcountry trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way. With its 8 miles of walking distance it's an average length great outdoors trail.

Briefly about the general area:
If you come at the right time of year, Sandy River offers some tremendous whitewater, and Old Maid Flat is a perfect spot to stretch your legs a bit. So much fun stuff near Cast Creek Trail, definitely mind-boggling. Put some time aside to spend at Ramona Falls while you're here at Cast Creek Trail; if you would like a little side tour, try Zigzag Canyon.
Looking for some flowing water? Try Short Creek, and a visit to Yocum Falls will fill your spirit with brilliant feelings. There's so much to do here at Cast Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Twin Bridges Campground is a good place for that, and hey, Cast Creek is a wonderful local stream. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Zigzag River, and at Cast Creek Trail you always meet someone from Hood River.
These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Cast Creek Trail has to offer, you can camp at Devils Meadow Campground.
