Oregon hiking trails - Cast Creek Trail, Central Cascade Range, Clackamas County

   
  You'll have to go far from Hood River to get to Cast Creek Trail, but many people like to hike here to be near the fresh air. Oregon is a perfect outdoors state. There are so many great trails for backcountry hiking in Oregon, and one of those is Cast Creek Trail in Clackamas County. There are so many hiking trails in this neighborhood. This backcountry trail is a normal length backcountry trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a glorious hiking trail for experienced walkers in fine shape. A great deal of precipitation falls
    at Cast Creek Trail; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Cast Creek Trail is 8 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Cast Creek Trail reach the 70's, and during the night
it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Cast Creek Trail tend to be in the 30's. We all need to get out in the fresh air once in a while, and if you happen to be in Clackamas County of Oregon, Cast Creek Trail is a nice local wilderness hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Some parts of this hiking and backpacking trail are much higher up than other parts of the hiking and backpacking trail which  
of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking and backpacking trail. Keep in mind that this is a long wilderness hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Cast Creek Trail is a two ended great outdoors trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can walk it just one way. This trek shouldn't take more than 7 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Cast Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,784 feet, and that is higher than average. The wonderful backcountry trails of the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these hills. There are plenty of trails in Oregon; each one of them has something unique to offer. Trekking here in Oregon is the great thing to do.

Briefly about the general area:
Zigzag Canyon is a great site to discover, and Old Maid Flat is a nice place here at Cast Creek Trail. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. Zigzag River has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby.
Put some time aside to spend at Ramona Falls while you're here at Cast Creek Trail, and Cast Creek Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Devils Meadow Campground is a great local campground. Having a great time at Cast Creek Trail is simple. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy River, and naturally Short Creek flows through this vicinity. A visit to Yocum Falls will fill your soul with glorious feelings; a pleasant site to camp here at Cast Creek Trail is Twin Bridges Campground.
So many enjoyable things to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. Cast Creek Trail is not far at all from Hood River, and let's not forget Cast Creek which is a stream that you may encounter during your stay.
