    Canyon Number Three Trail is an outstanding local backpacking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. No chance of getting bored in Oregon if you like the fresh air. This is a long hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Canyon Number Three Trail has a total elevation
difference of 2,792 feet, and that is higher than average. This backcountry walk should take you about 2.5 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Different parts of Canyon Number Three Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. The length of Canyon Number Three Trail is on the longer side having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough hiking trail for advanced hikers looking for a fine challenge. Being 16.8 miles long; it's longer than  
many trails. The amount of rainfall that falls at Canyon Number Three Trail is near the national average; the month with most of the rain is December, and July is the month with the least moisture. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Canyon Number Three Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. High temperatures at Canyon Number Three Trail through the summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. During the winter highs are frequently in the 40's, and night lows at Canyon Number Three Trail during the winter frequently drop into the 30's.

Get yourself into a kayak and hit Umpqua River - South, and Canyon Number Three Trail is a brilliant site to visit for more than one day, Tiller RV Park is a brilliant site to camp nearby. While you're here at Canyon Number Three Trail it's a pleasant idea to stop at Devils Flat; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Snowshoe Spring.
Cold Spring is an inspiring spot to go to while you're here; Tiller Ranger District is a great campground nearby. A pleasant trip to The Meadows is a perfect way to spend an afternoon, and Copper Creek is close to Canyon Number Three Trail and is always a joy to go to. Cow Creek Gorge is a fine site to stop at nearby, and why not take a little spree to Applegate Creek since you're here.
