With its 16.8 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer backcountry walk. This is a two-ended great outdoors hiking trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Canyon Number Three Trail is a great place of normal precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. The total elevation difference for Canyon Number Three Trail is 2,792 feet which is higher than average. So much entertaining stuff in the neighborhood of Canyon Number Three Trail, truly fantastic. A short spree to Snowshoe Spring is always worthwhile; camping at Tiller RV Park is always a splendid experience.
A great place to visit in the neighborhood of Canyon Number Three Trail is Cow Creek Gorge, and don't forget to take a tremendous little visit to Applegate Creek. The Meadows is a wonderful place; if you come at the right time of year, Umpqua River - South offers some pleasant whitewater. Copper Creek is a delightful stream that is worth stopping at, and Canyon Number Three Trail is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Tiller Ranger District is a splendid local campground.
Cold Spring is always fun to check out, and sites like Devils Flat are nice to visit.
