A great place to visit in the neighborhood of Canyon Number Three Trail is Cow Creek Gorge, and don't forget to take a tremendous little visit to Applegate Creek. The Meadows is a wonderful place; if you come at the right time of year, Umpqua River -
South offers some pleasant whitewater. Copper Creek is a delightful stream that is worth stopping at, and Canyon Number Three Trail is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Tiller Ranger District is a splendid local campground.
Cold Spring is always fun to check out, and sites like Devils Flat are nice to visit.
