  If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go backcountry backpacking, it never gets boring. Oregon has plenty of fine hiking trails, and Canyon Mountain Trail is one of them, and it's in Grant County. Backcountry hiking in Oregon is such a glorious thing to do. This backcountry trail sometimes gets very dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. There are so many trails in this area. This backpacking and hiking trail is a very long backpacking and hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very
    tough trail for advanced walkers looking for a good challenge. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Canyon Mountain Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,990 feet which is a higher than average number. Canyon Mountain Trail is very far from the most adjacent
big city, and it sure is a a good backcountry trail. This great outdoors hiking trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be hiking it in and back out. There are plenty of hiking trails in Oregon; each one of them is pretty in its own way. These backpacking and hiking trails here in the Blue Mountains are a really good way to spend quality time in the great outdoors. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and if you happen to be in Grant County of Oregon, Canyon Mountain Trail is a good local backcountry trail for doing  
a bit of leg stretching. Not much rainfall falls here at Canyon Mountain Trail; the month with most of the rain is November; the driest month is July. Being 28 miles long; it's longer than many hiking trails. Of course, this is an overnight walk, 4 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. This is a long backcountry trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Summer at Canyon Mountain Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, regularly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows at Canyon Mountain Trail all through the winter regularly dip into the 20's. Canyon Mountain Trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it.

Briefly about the general area:
Having a tremendous time at Canyon Mountain Trail is easy. There's so much to do here at Canyon Mountain Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Clyde Holliday is a good place for that, and Jack Cabin Meadow is a splendid spot to stretch your legs a bit. So many entertaining things to do in the Blue Mountains, not sufficient time. Nearby Gand Saddle is a nice site to go if you're at Canyon Mountain Trail, and swing by Lost Fork it's a wonderful place to stop at.
There's no way someone can get bored here in the Blue Mountains. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Canyon Mountain Trail has to offer, you can camp at Ray Cole Campground, and do put some time aside to spend at Birch Spring since you're here at Canyon Mountain Trail. Take a side tour to Norton Fork, and Canyon City Municipal Watershed is a picturesque location any time of year.
A wooded area close to Canyon Mountain Trail is Canyon Creek Research Natural Area It's always fine to visit Twin Springs.
