Oregon hiking trails - Canyon Creek Trail, Blue Mountains, Grant County

Being 4.4 miles long it's an average length wilderness trail. This is not a very long great outdoors trail but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Sometimes this great outdoors trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to  
bring a stove or make a camp fire. This trail is a mid length trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this great outdoors trail great for the average backcountry hiker looking for an exciting adventure. This is one of many great outdoors trails in the surrounding region. Wilderness hiking trails like this one here in the Blue Mountains are an excellent way to explore these hills. During the months of summer at Canyon Creek Trail temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. All through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Canyon Creek Trail. Canyon Creek Trail gets very little rainfall; through the month of May you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is July.

Briefly about the general area:
Buckhorn Meadow is a perfect place to stretch your legs a bit; Indian Springs Campground is a brilliant local campground. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Blue Mountains. Wildcat Basin is a lovely location any time of year, and do put some time aside to spend at Wildcat Spring if you're here at Canyon Creek Trail.
Ray Cole Campground is a fine campground nearby, and Buckhorn Spring is always fun to check out.
