Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Canyon Creek Trail sink into the 20's. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Canyon Creek Trail in Grant County, Oregon is a really tremendous spot to spend some time. The length of this wilderness trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes this hiking trail great for the average hiker looking for a fun adventure. Even though this is not a very long hiking trail it's always great to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 4 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Briefly about the general area: Wildcat Spring is a great local attraction; camping is available at Ray Cole Campground. So many entertaining things to do in the Blue Mountains, not enough time. Buckhorn Spring is a picturesque place to stop by while you're at Canyon Creek Trail; Wildcat Basin is right here at Canyon Creek Trail. A fine place to camp here at Canyon Creek Trail is Indian Springs Campground; a tour to Buckhorn Meadow invigorates the soul.
