This backcountry trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to walk it normally. The total elevation difference for Canton Creek Trail is 2,981 feet which is a higher than average number. This is a long great outdoors hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. With its 7 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry hike. Different parts of this backpacking trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. You should count on this walk taking about 6 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster.
