wet place frequently with a great deal of precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is July. The length of this backcountry trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this great
outdoors trail glorious for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so backcountry backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. There's not much difference in elevation along Cannon Beach Trail,
so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backcountry trail. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping.
Briefly about the general area: You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Coast Ranges. Camping
is available at Sea Ranch RV Park, and nothing beats kicking back at Indian Beach. The wonderful people of Astoria like to hang out nearby, and Sunset Beach is a beach close by that you can pop by. If time allows, Fort Clatsop National Memorial is a national park worth a visit,
and why not camp at Wright's For Camping if you're here at Cannon Beach Trail. Some nearby water includes Indian Creek, and you are near West Point since you're here.
