are a very brilliant way to see these mountains. This backpacking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,151 feet, and that is about average. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. Now, this is roughly a 2-day hike, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Camp One Trail is a long drive away from Hood River, but when you backcountry trek it you're always having a good time. This backpacking trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to hike it normally. Being 14.2 miles long; it's longer than many hiking trails.

Briefly about the general area:
Don't leave Camp One Trail without first paying a visit to Owl Spring, and if you come at the right time of year, Metolius River offers some great whitewater. If only every spot had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great world it would be. There's so much to do here at Camp One Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Trout Lake Campground is a glorious place for that.
Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a glorious time. Looking for some flowing water? Try North Fork Cedar Creek, and a pleasant trip to Peters Pasture is a splendid way to spend an afternoon. Take a little trip to Cedar Creek since you're here at Camp One Trail; if you came to camp Lemiti Campground is a fine site to do that. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend White River, and since you're here at Camp One Trail it's a glorious idea to pop by Cedar Meadow.
