Time to get out, and breathe some fresh air, and Camas Prairie Trail in Wasco County, Oregon is a brilliant selection. There's not much difference in elevation along the trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. This is a wilderness hiking trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Relatively far from Hood River you come upon Camas Prairie Trail, but hiking trails like these are
    tremendous. Being 9.4 miles long; it's considered a longer trek. A great deal of rainfall falls at Camas Prairie Trail; most of the snow falls during December, and July is the month with the least moisture. There are so many hiking trails in this neighborhood. The trails of the
Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these summits. This hiking trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can walk it just one way. The time needed for this walk is roughly 8.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Camas Prairie Trail reach the 60's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Camas Prairie  
Trail dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Delightful great outdoors trails in Oregon are in abundance, and Camas Prairie Trail in Wasco County is one of them. Oregon is a glorious outdoors state. This hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 786 feet which is lower than average. Camas Prairie Trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an outstanding hiking trail for experienced backcountry hikers in pleasant shape.

Briefly about the general area:
Cold Spring is always fun to check out; of course Cedar Creek flows through this neighborhood. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go home again. There's so much to do here at Camas Prairie Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Lemiti Campground is a perfect site for that, and a quick journey to Bunchgrass Creek is without doubt a delightful idea.
White River is a fine whitewater spot near Camas Prairie Trail, and a short trip to Warm Springs is always worthwhile. Stay the night at Trout Lake Campground.
