Oregon hiking trails - Call Meadow Trail, Blue Mountains, Harney County

   
  Going for a hike here in Oregon is a nice idea. If you are in Oregon during backcountry trekking season you have to go backcountry trekking. Every Oregon wilderness trail has its own unique loveliness. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit, and Call Meadow Trail in Harney County, Oregon is a glorious location for getting out. At Call Meadow Trail you don’t see much rainfall; December is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest month of the year is July. This region does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check
    current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. There's not much difference in elevation along the wilderness trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole wilderness trail. Please follow all local rules about fires
and camping. Backpacking trails are good and plentiful in Oregon; Call Meadow Trail is one of them, and it's in Harney County. Even though this is not a very long backpacking and hiking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. The length of this wilderness trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a wonderful backcountry hiking trail for the average person looking for a wonderful adventure. Call Meadow Trail is 5.6 miles long it's a mid length trek. Call Meadow Trail has  
a total elevation difference of 431 feet which is lower than average. You should count on this walk taking about 5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Backcountry backpacking here in the Blue Mountains is a really tremendous way to spend quality time in the wilderness. Call Meadow Trail is a very long way away from modern life, and what a glorious location for backcountry trekking it is. At Call Meadow Trail during the summer highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Call Meadow Trail plunge into the 0's. There are not too many backcountry hiking trails in this vicinity. Call Meadow Trail is a one trailhead hiking trail, so you'll be backpacking it in and back out.

Briefly about the general area:
Do set aside some time for Cabin Meadow while you're here at Call Meadow Trail. Beaverdam Creek flows through this neighborhood, and a short journey to Sheep Spring is always worthwhile.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Mountains. Why not camp at Rock Springs Campground while you're here at Call Meadow Trail, and R T Spring is always fun to check out. Don’t forget to take a look at Haystack Meadow since you're here at Call Meadow Trail; Crystal Crane Hot Springs is a fine local campground.
