This hiking trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry hike it just one way. This trek shouldn't take more than 3 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. The total elevation difference for Cache Lake Trail is 428 feet, and that is lower than average. Cache Lake Trail is 4 miles long it's a mid length walk. You spend the whole walk in roughly the same elevation zone, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your walk. Cache Lake Trail is not that long but it's always good to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Sometimes this wilderness hiking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out.
