Oregon hiking trails - Cache Lake Trail, Central Cascade Range, Jefferson County

   
  Rather far from Bend you run into Cache Lake Trail, but it's one of those spots where backcountry backpacking is great. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Wilderness hiking trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these hills. Being 4 miles long it's a mid length backcountry hike. Sometimes this
    backcountry hiking trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. This hiking trail is a normal length hiking trail, and it's pretty flat a perfect backcountry hiking trail for an easy stroll for the whole family. This backcountry
trek shouldn't take more than 3 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This is a two-ended wilderness trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. There are so many backcountry hiking trails in this vicinity. This is not a very long backcountry hiking trail but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. We all need to get out in the great outdoors once in a  
while, and Cache Lake Trail in Jefferson County, Oregon is just the spot. A lot of precipitation falls at Cache Lake Trail; throughout the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July is when it's the driest. Throughout the summertime at Cache Lake Trail highs are usually in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Cache Lake Trail night low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. The total elevation difference for this wilderness trail is 428 feet, and that is lower than average.
