Briefly about the general area: Stay the night at
Lehman Hot Springs, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Weasel Spring. Just can't get enough of the Blue Mountains. There's so much to do here at Cable Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Elkanah Campground is a magnificent site for that,
and Hidaway Meadows is a magnificent site. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Grande Ronde River, and hey, Line Creek is a great local stream. Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Cable Creek
Trail. A tour to Lookout Spring will fill your spirit with splendid feelings; some of the water close by flows, like Meadow Creek. And that's not all you can do here in the Blue Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, John Day River - North Fork offers some delightful whitewater, and a tour to Frazier Meadow rejuvenates the soul.
