length of this backcountry trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes this great outdoors trail splendid for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This hike shouldn't take more than 5.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. The total elevation difference for this wilderness hiking trail is 745 feet, and that is lower than average. Bull Prairie Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole great outdoors hiking trail. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so backcountry hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. This is a long wilderness trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Bull Prairie Trail is pretty dehydrated frequently; the month with most of the rain is November while July is frequently the driest month.
