    Oregon is the outdoors at its best. Buck Cabin Trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. There are numerous trails in Oregon, and each one has its own character. This hiking trail has two trailheads which means you
have the option of backcountry trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Buck Cabin Trail is a normal length hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this great outdoors hiking trail splendid for the average backcountry walker looking for an exciting adventure. A visit to Oregon is not complete without some backcountry backpacking. You should count on this backcountry hike taking about 4.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Buck Cabin Trail  
has a total elevation difference of 1,425 feet which is an average number. All through the days of summer, highs frequently are in the 90's at Buck Cabin Trail. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Highs all through the winter are ordinarily in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Buck Cabin Trail. This great outdoors trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. Big Weasel Springs is a delightful location to visit while you're at Buck Cabin Trail. There's so much to do here at Buck Cabin Trail that you need to camp here for a while, The Timbers Inn and RV Park is a splendid site for that. Some close by water includes Buck Cabin Creek.
A short trip to China Hat Spring is always worthwhile, and Buck Cabin Trail is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Mt Vernon Motel and Trailer Park is a splendid local campground. This site, the Blue Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Getting to Hattie Creek from Buck Cabin Trail is trouble-free, and if you have time to spare, John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is a national park worth taking a look at.
