You should count on this walk taking about 4.5 hours, but you  
never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and Buck Cabin Trail in Grant County, Oregon is the great outdoors at its best. There are plenty of backcountry trails in Oregon; each one of them is well worth a hike. During the months of summer at Buck Cabin Trail temperatures are mostly in the 90's. Big Weasel Springs is always fun to check out. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Buck Cabin Trail has to offer, you can camp at The Timbers Inn and RV Park.
There's so much to do here at Buck Cabin Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Mt Vernon Motel and Trailer Park is a great location for that, and John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is a very magnificent place to take a look at. Don't forget to take a brilliant little spree to Hattie Creek.
