This is a two-ended hiking and backpacking trail with two trailheads, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. The total elevation difference for this hiking and backpacking trail is 1,332 feet which is an average number. With its 5.8 miles of walking distance it's a mid length trek. The backcountry hiking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backcountry hiking trail. Even though this is not a very long trail it's always splendid to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. The time needed for this trek is roughly 5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that.
