Oregon hiking trails - Bolan Lake Trail, Klamath Mountains, Josephine County

   
  Here in the wonderful state of Oregon hiking never gets boring. A long trip parts Grants Pass from Bolan Lake Trail, but It's always exciting to hike here. We all need to get out in the fresh air once in a while, and Bolan Lake Trail in Josephine County, Oregon is a tremendous place for getting out. Wilderness hiking trails are wonderful and plentiful in Oregon, and one of these is Bolan Lake Trail in Josephine County. High temperatures at Bolan Lake Trail during the summer are in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into
    the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 40's; night lows through the wintertime for Bolan Lake Trail tend to be in the 30's. Bolan Lake Trail is a two ended hiking and backpacking trail with two trailheads, so hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange
for a ride back. This wilderness hiking trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Bolan Lake Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry trek. Bolan Lake Trail is a reasonably wet place regularly with lots of rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; July is when it's the driest. There are numerous wilderness hiking trails in Oregon, and each one is worth hiking. This  
wilderness hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. You should count on this walk taking about 3.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The total elevation difference for this hiking and backpacking trail is 563 feet, and that is lower than average. Bolan Lake Trail is a very short backpacking and hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this backpacking trail perfect for the average walker looking for a fun adventure. These backpacking and hiking trails here in the Klamath Mountains are a splendid way to explore these mountaintops. This is one of a very small number of backpacking trails in this area. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Oregon is a splendid outdoors state. Bolan Lake Trail is 3.8 miles long it's a shorter type backcountry trek.

Briefly about the general area:
There's always Bolan Lake Dam to check out near Bolan Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Bolan Lake Trail that you need to camp here for a while, West Branch Campground is a perfect location for that. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Klamath Mountains. Oregon Caves National Monument is a wonderful site near Bolan Lake Trail, and a pleasant visit to Green Creek Meadow is a great way to spend an afternoon.
A visit to Kings Saddle is always fun, and if you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Grants Pass. If you came to camp Country Hills Resort is a great site to do that.
