Black Canyon Trail is a location that is pretty dry commonly; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; the driest month is September. Some parts of Black Canyon Trail are much higher up than other
    parts of the hiking trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking trail. This trail sometimes gets very dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Now, this is roughly a 2.5-day
backcountry trek, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. There are so many great outdoors hiking trails in this neighborhood. Being 16.2 miles long; it's considered a longer walk. Each one of the many backpacking trails of Oregon is gorgeous in its own way. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. The total elevation difference for Black Canyon Trail is 3,351 feet, and that is higher than average. There are backpacking trails all over Oregon; Black Canyon Trail is one of them, and it's in Wheeler County. This trail is many  
miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an excellent great outdoors hiking trail for experienced backcountry walkers in tremendous shape. If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go backpacking, it is something that is always fun to do. Keep in mind that this is a long trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Black Canyon Trail is a two ended great outdoors trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. High temperatures at Black Canyon Trail through the long summer days are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are commonly in the 30's, and night lows through the winter for Black Canyon Trail tend to be in the 10's. These trails here in the Blue Mountains are the best way to enjoy these peaks.

Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are truly bountiful here at Black Canyon Trail. It's always good to go to Saddle Camp Spring, and Honeymoon Creek is close to Black Canyon Trail and is always a delight to stop at. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Blue Mountains is excellent! Visiting John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and nearby Still Gulch is a wonderful site to go.
Take a little spree to Owl Creek while you're here at Black Canyon Trail. There's so much to do here at Black Canyon Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Fish House Inn is a perfect place for that. Do set aside some time for McClanahan Meadow while you're here at Black Canyon Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Black Canyon Trail has to offer, you can camp at Pine Tree Campground. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the Blue Mountains has to offer.
You have to unquestionably dedicate some time to Honeymoon Basin while you're here at Black Canyon Trail, and do put some time aside to spend at Hat Spring since you're here at Black Canyon Trail.
