This backcountry hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,719 feet which is about average. The time needed for this walk is roughly 3 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Being 3.6 miles long it's a short trail. This great outdoors hiking trail is not that long but it's always perfect to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Big Boulder Trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the trail could be very different from other parts of it. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. This backcountry hiking trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be hiking it in and back out.
