always perfect to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. For the duration of the summer at Big Bend Trail highs are usually in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows at Big
Bend Trail through the winter ordinarily fall into the 30's. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This is one of a very small number of great outdoors hiking trails
in this vicinity. There are numerous wilderness trails in Oregon, and each one is worth backpacking. The total elevation difference for this backcountry trail is 538 feet, and that is lower than average. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping.
Briefly about
the general area: Stay the night at Mount Hood Village. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Central Cascade Range. Glide down the rapids of Little Sandy River in a kayak; why not take a look at nearby West Branch Falls Creek since you're here at Big Bend Trail.
Paddling on Sandy River is so much fun, and Township Meadow is a wonderful spot. Don't forget to take a pleasant little spree to Falls Creek. There's so much to do here at Big Bend Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Windell's Snowboard Camp is a great place for that.
