The stunning hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a tremendous way to explore these hills. All the water falling down from the sky makes Big Bend Trail a wet place; throughout the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July is the month with the least moisture. and some a bit faster. There are numerous trails in Oregon, and each one has its own character. You spend the whole walk in roughly the same elevation zone, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backcountry trail. Going for a backcountry hike here in Oregon
is a perfect idea. There is only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out trek. The number of backcountry trails in this vicinity is not very high. The length of this hiking trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a perfect backcountry
trail for the average person looking for a perfect adventure.
Briefly about the general area: Paddling on Little Sandy River is so much fun, and a pleasant journey to Township Meadow is a perfect way to spend an afternoon. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Sandy River;
there's some flowing water close by, Falls Creek is a stream you can pop by while here. If you came to camp Windell's Snowboard Camp is a delightful spot to do that. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Big Bend Trail that you need
to camp here for a while, Mount Hood Village is a good place for that; West Branch Falls Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting.
