Oregon hiking trails - Beaverdam Trail, Blue Mountains, Harney County

There are numerous wilderness hiking trails in Oregon, and each one is worth hiking. Summertime highs at Beaverdam Trail commonly tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Beaverdam Trail. Going for a backcountry
    hike here in Oregon is a wonderful way to spend some time. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Oregon is a tremendous spot for trekkers. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 6.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get
stuck so be prepared for that. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the great outdoors a bit, and Beaverdam Trail in Harney County, Oregon is a fine pick. The trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. With its 7.2 miles of walking distance it's a mid length trek. It is very arid here at Beaverdam Trail commonly; November is the wettest month with most rain, and September is the month with the least moisture. Hiking trails like this one here in  
the Blue Mountains are a tremendous way to explore these mountains. The total elevation difference for Beaverdam Trail is 272 feet which is a lower than average number. This wilderness trail is a mid length wilderness trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a glorious great outdoors hiking trail for experienced backcountry trekkers in magnificent shape. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry hike it normally. This great outdoors trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Beaverdam Trail is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. This is one of a very small number of great outdoors hiking trails in this vicinity.

Camping is available at The Timbers Inn and RV Park; not far from Beaverdam Trail you get some brilliant water scenery at Clemens Dam.
If you came for an overnight stay R and L RV and Mobile Home Park is a great spot to camp; Yellowjacket Field is right here at Beaverdam Trail. Hughet Creek flows through this neighborhood; everybody loves Pine Knoll Basin. This site, the Blue Mountains, has so much outdoors cool things. Since you're here at Beaverdam Trail why not explore Dead Mule Canyon, and a short spree to Finke Spring is always worthwhile.
