80's, and the night is quite cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and night lows at Beaverdam Trail through the winter regularly drop into the 10's. This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 6.5 hours, but of course
some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This backcountry hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire.

local campground. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Beaverdam Trail is excellent! Some of the water nearby flows, like Beaverdam Creek, and Yellowjacket Field is a splendid location to check out. Finke Spring is an inspiring spot to visit while you're here, and Pine Knoll Basin is a beautiful place any time of year.
