This is a two-ended backcountry trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry trekking it one way if you have someone
    to pick you up at the other end. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This is an area covered with lots of backpacking trails. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 4.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower
and some a bit faster. Bear Mountain Trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. There are many splendid backpacking and hiking trails in Oregon, and one of these is Bear Mountain Trail in Lane County. This wilderness trail sometimes gets very dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. The warmest time of the year at Bear Mountain Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the  
40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Bear Mountain Trail. Briefly about the general area:
Chuckle Springs is a pretty spot to have a look at while you're at Bear Mountain Trail, and a glorious place to camp here at Bear Mountain Trail is Oakridge RV Park. Getting to Baboon Creek from Bear Mountain Trail is uncomplicated, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Hills Creek.
Pioneer Gulch is a wonderful location to spend some time at; camping is available at Oakridge Mobile Home Park. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. If time allows, Crater Lake National Park is a national park worth a visit, and some of the water nearby flows, like Moss Creek. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back repeatedly.
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Indigo Springs is a great local attraction, and get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Salt Creek.
