  Finally, backcountry trekking time is here again, and Bear Camp Trail in Grant County, Oregon is just what you need. This part of Oregon is always a pleasure to visit during trekking season. Bear Camp Trail is a backcountry trail relatively far from Pendleton-Hermiston, but it is one of many delightful backcountry trails in this vicinity. This wilderness trail is on the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a splendid hiking and backpacking trail for the average person looking for a splendid adventure. With its 3.8 miles
    of walking distance it's a shorter type hike. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Going for a hike here in Oregon is an outstanding way to spend some time. This is one of a very small
number of hiking and backpacking trails in this region. There are backpacking trails all over Oregon, and one of those is Bear Camp Trail in Grant County. This great outdoors hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,022 feet, and that is about average. This great outdoors hiking trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can walk it just one way. These wilderness trails here in the Blue Mountains are a very good way to see these peaks. Around Bear Camp Trail you don’t get a lot of rainfall; through the month of November  
you get the most rain around here, and July is the month with the least moisture. You spend the whole hike in roughly the same elevation zone which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. This hiking trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 3 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. For the period of the summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Bear Camp Trail. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 30's. Through the wintertime this location gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Bear Camp Trail. There are numerous backpacking trails in Oregon, and each one is worth hiking.

You'll need more than a day to explore everything Bear Camp Trail has to offer, you can camp at Trough Creek Campground. There's some flowing water nearby, Junkens Creek is a stream you can go to while here. There's so much to do here at Bear Camp Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Meadowbrook Lodge and Overnight Park is a great spot for that.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Blue Mountains has to offer. Don't leave Bear Camp Trail without first paying a visit to Oasis Spring, and a glorious site like Keeney Meadow here at Bear Camp Trail is too great to miss.
