  Bear Camp Trail is a long drive away from Pendleton-Hermiston, but it is a glorious retreat from the city. At Bear Camp Trail you don’t see much rainfall; most of the rain falls through November, and the driest of the months is July.     Trail in Grant County, Oregon is a glorious spot to go. Oregon has so much to offer the outdoors lovers. This is not a very long backpacking and hiking trail but it's always brilliant to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. This wilderness trail has
two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry hike it just one way. With its 3.8 miles of walking distance it's a short wilderness trail. At Bear Camp Trail throughout the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows during the winter for Bear Camp Trail tend to be in the 10's. This region does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities  
before you head out. Bear Camp Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,022 feet, and that is about average. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. There's not much difference in elevation along the wilderness trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your hike. This trail is on the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a brilliant backpacking trail for the average person looking for a brilliant adventure. Good backpacking and hiking trails in Oregon are in abundance; among these are Bear Camp Trail in Grant County. The time needed for this backcountry hike is roughly 3 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. The number of backpacking trails in this region is not very high.

Briefly about the general area:
Having a glorious time in the Blue Mountains is easy. Camping at Trough Creek Campground is always a delightful experience, and let's not forget Junkens Creek which is a stream that you may bump into while you're here. This is a great river. Keeney Meadow is a wonderful location here at Bear Camp Trail.
A perfect spot to camp here at Bear Camp Trail is Meadowbrook Lodge and Overnight Park, and Oasis Spring is always fun to check out.
