Oregon hiking trails - Bagby Trail, Central Cascade Range, Clackamas County

   
  There are numerous backcountry hiking trails in Oregon, and each one is different from the others. Bagby Trail is a backpacking trail pretty far from Hood River, but when you spend some time backcountry hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. Hiking and backpacking trails are brilliant and plentiful in Oregon; Bagby Trail in Clackamas County is one of them. If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go backcountry trekking, it is something that is always fun to do. The hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a really great way to spend
    quality time in nature. This backcountry walk shouldn't take more than 5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. While visiting this vicinity in Oregon it's a nice idea to go backcountry trekking too. Bagby Trail is a mid-length hiking trail with
an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a fine backcountry trail for the average person looking for a fine adventure. The total elevation difference for this great outdoors hiking trail is 602 feet which is a lower than average number. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Bagby Trail get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the  
wintertime at Bagby Trail temperatures dip to the 30's. Bagby Trail is 5.4 miles long it's an average length hiking and backpacking trail. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. There's not much difference in elevation along the hiking and backpacking trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Bagby Trail is not that long but it's always great to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. This is an area covered with lots of backcountry trails. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, Bagby Trail in Clackamas County, Oregon is a really great spot to spend some time. The high level of rain makes Bagby Trail a quite wet location; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is July. This is a two-ended great outdoors hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can walk it just one way.

Briefly about the general area:
A pleasant spot for whitewater paddling close to Bagby Trail is Collawash River. Sluice Creek flows through this vicinity; Toma Meadow is a great spot here at Bagby Trail.
And that's not all you can do here in the Central Cascade Range. There's some flowing water nearby, Slide Creek is a stream you can explore while here; if you came to camp Shining Lake Campground is a splendid site to do that. Clackamas River is a tremendous whitewater spot close to Bagby Trail. There's so much to do here at Bagby Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Skookum Lake Campground is a delightful location for that.
